Announces Launch of New Station in WICHITA, KANSAS

OVERLAND PARK, Kan., June 19th, 2006 — Bott Radio Network (BRN) announces the launch of a brand new Christian talk radio station—AM 950. BRN will expand its service in Wichita and Central Kansas on Tuesday, June 20th, at 12:00 Noon with a special sign-on dedication broadcast.

KJRG AM 950—Wichita’s Christian station since 1953—is now under the new ownership of Bott Radio Network. Building on AM 950’s legacy of Christian programming, BRN will serve families throughout Newton, Wichita, and Central Kansas with Quality Bible Teaching and Christian News and Information. This 24-hour signal will add to BRN’s existing service to Wichita and Hutchinson on 94.3 FM. BRN serves most of the state of Kansas with Christian radio stations in Kansas City, Topeka, Newton, Wichita, and Arkansas City, and new stations are coming soon to Independence, Salina/Abilene, and Dodge City.

With headquarters in Kansas City, Bott Radio Network is recognized as a national leader in Christian broadcasting. “For more than forty years, Bott Radio Network has featured America’s finest Bible teachers and Christian news and information programs to help people grow in the Lord and apply their faith in their daily lives,” says BRN Executive Vice President Rich Bott, “Bott Radio Network stretches from Fresno to Ft. Wayne, with a focus on the heartland.”

BRN’s programming consists of some of the nation’s most recognizable Christian and conservative talk show personalities including Dr. James Dobson of Focus On The Family—one of the top 3 radio programs in the nation; Dr. Richard Land of For Faith & Family—a broadcast that originates from the Southern Baptist headquarters; attorney and judicial advocate Jay Sekulow of Jay Sekulow Live; Rev. Billy Graham, Chuck Swindoll, Charles Stanley and many other national Christian leaders also contribute programming to the network. In Time magazine’s February 7th, 2005 issue, several of BRN’s talk show hosts were named in the top 25 of the nation’s most influential evangelicals.

“Local businesses will find a good audience for their advertising needs,” says Area Manager, Phil Haase. “With the expansion of AM 950, Bott Radio Network covers more than a million people in Newton, Wichita and Central Kansas. BRN advertisers will have the ability to target their local market, a regional or statewide market, or our entire network with their message. Because of growing spiritual hunger in the world today, more and more people are tuning into the programs heard on BRN for answers to life’s most difficult questions.”

BRN Founder and President Dick Bott said: “For years, Bott Radio Network has served families in Wichita and Central Kansas with Quality Bible Teaching and Christian News and Information. This new station in Wichita will enable more people to both grow in their faith and to know what’s happening in the world around them.”

Since its founding in 1962, Bott Radio Network has been a national leader in Quality Christian Radio Broadcasting.
