July 2007 / Bott Radio Network Welcomes Faith Nights Baseball Tour to Fort Wayne, July 19th
The Faith Nights Baseball Tour came to Fort Wayne on Thursday, July 19th, hosted by the Fort Wayne Wizards baseball team and welcomed by WFCV AM 1090. The event started in the stadium parking lot with 2500 cheering fans attending a concert by Hawk Nelson and special guests “The Send.”
Then the crowd moved to the stadium for an exciting game between the home team and the Clinton Lumber Kings. The home team lost the game, but the entertainment and kids games between innings were lots of fun for the crowd. Even Bob and Larry from Veggie Tales were there to entertain the crowd and help everyone sing “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” during the “7th inning stretch.”
AM 1090 had display tables at both the concert and the game where people could sign up for prize drawings and pick up free booklets from our programmers. The prize winners were announced over the loud speaker during the game and everyone had a great time!
Over 2500 people gathered in the parking lot of the Fort Wayne Wizards baseball stadium to enjoy a pre-game concert by Hawk Nelson as part of the Faith Nights Baseball tour.
AM 1090 had a display table at the concert and the baseball game, along with the other two Fort Wayne Christian radio stations. Daniel and Sean also “manned” our display table, inviting people to sign up for our six prize drawings held that night.
Control Room Operator Daniel Gerber represented AM 1090 as an emcee at the concert while he and student intern Sean Giggy threw radio-shaped stress relievers to the enthusiastic crowd.
