March 2008 / Over Three Thousand Attend Rodeo Crusade Sponsored by Bott Radio Network, Saturday, March 22nd
On Saturday, March 22nd, Bott Radio Network in Memphis' 640 AM
sponsored a rodeo crusade with Circle Cross Ministries at the Show Place
Arena. The event was the kick off for Circle Cross Cowboy Church, a new church
start part of the Mid-South Baptist Association. Prior to the event Pastors Mark
Wilson and Stan McCall were interviewed on 640 AM's Mid-South View Point.
With over 3,000 in attendance, Pastor Wilson attributes the success of the
crusade solely to the promotion on 640 AM, the exclusive media sponsor.
Crusade events included barrel racing, professional bull riding, and the Glory
Riders, a mounted ministry team from Texas. BRN Program Director, Byron
Tyler, greeted families who came out for the fun. Before the final bull riding
competition pastor Wilson, who is also a rodeo bullfighter, opened God’s Word
and shared the Gospel. The finale of the evening was filled with thrills as
640 AM’s Production Assistant Josh Tyler rode a bull for the first time as the
celebrity bull rider. Other than a sprain shoulder and a couple of cracked ribs,
Josh is doing alright! Josh says, “I had a great time and would do it again!” For
