July 2008 / "Kansas Rally for Life & Family" Features Local and National Leaders, Monday, July 28th
The Kansas Rally for Life & Family was held at the Sheraton Overland Park Hotel in the Cottonwood Ballroom, at 7:00 p.m. Monday, July 28th. Hundreds turned out to hear several speakers. The Rally featured Pastor Rick Scarborough, President of Vision America, Bill Federer, Author and Christian historian, Chris Holloway, nationally acclaimed recording artist, and Phill Kline, Johnson County District Attorney. There was a special video presentation by Father Frank Pavone, of Priests for Life. Noted author Jack Cashill was the Master of Ceremonies for the evening and Bott Radio Network’s Director of Broadcast Operations Eben Fowler opened the program in prayer. The crowd heard how Christians founded our nation, how our leaders originally swore that the Scriptures were true in order to stand for election, the comparison of slavery to today's Holocaust of abortion on demand, and how the love of Christ can repair the breech among family members. It was a powerful evening filled with teaching and encouragement of how God still moves through history and His People.
