October 2008 / Bott Radio Network Is A Media Sponsor of the Pregnancy Care Center’s Walk / Run for Life, October 4th
On Saturday morning October 4th, 2008 Bott Radio Network in Springfield was a media sponsor for the 7th Annual Walk / Run for Life at Jordan Valley Park in Springfield, Missouri.
Over 1,200 people participated in the event as volunteers and or walkers/runners. Each person who walked or ran was asked to find financial sponsors to support their participation in the 3 mile walk or the 5K run. As of the latest report over $101,000 was raised, which will go towards mentoring, ultrasound, abstinence and other educational services for women and girls who find themselves with an unplanned pregnancy and into the area schools with their abstinence education instructors. Since their beginning in the year 2000 the PCC has been directly responsible for saving over 3,600 babies from abortion and has reached over 10,000 students with the abstinence message. Paul Schneider, Operations Manager for BRN in Southwest Missouri is Secretary of the PCC Board of Directors and participated in the Walk for Life. Many of the people in attendance visited the BRN display at the event to thank us for our sponsorship and programming.

Over 1200 participated in the 7th Annual Run/Walk for Life event to help the Springfield Pregnancy Care Center’s efforts to help the community with the message that life if precious, born and unborn.
