
October 2008 / Bott Radio Network supports 40 Days for Life in Nebraska
October, 2008 Bott Radio Network partnered with Lincoln Right to Life, area pastors and Christian leaders in Lincoln, Nebraska to call the community of faith to an intentional campaign of prayer for abortion centers & women facing an unplanned pregnancy. Local pastors and ministry leaders in Lincoln, Nebraska participated on the air offering prayers for women, parents, physicians, workers and counselors involved in the abortion industry.
Prayers were heard regularly on Bott Radio Network station KLCV-88.5 FM-Lincoln during Forty Days for Life, 2008. The national movement was the largest and longest coordinated pro-life mobilization in history. More than seventy-six thousand believers participated in prayer and fasting near abortion centers during Forty Days for Life.* Through this coordinated public awareness and prayer campaign, at least 614 lives were spared from abortion, eight abortion workers resigned their jobs in the abortion industry, and hundreds of women and men were spared from the affects of choosing abortion. October 11, 2008- Shawn Carney, national spokesperson for “40 Days for Life”, interacts with prayer volunteers outside the Lincoln Right to Life house in Lincoln, Nebraska. Carney is a popular pro-life speaker, executive producer and host of the EWTN television series, “Being HUMAN”. Shawn led the first-ever Forty Days for Life in College Station, Texas in 2004.
