April 2009 / Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and College Host Bott Radio Network Day, Tuesday, April 7th
Tuesday, April 7th, 2009, was Bott Radio Network Day at Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary and College (MBTS). As part of their weekly Chapel, Dr. Phil Roberts, MBTS President, interviewed Dr. Dick Bott, Founder and President of Bott Radio Network and Rich Bott, Executive Vice President. The panel discussed the history of BRN and what Dr. Bott thought was important for those ministerial students to know about his motivations and goals in broadcasting. He emphasized staying true to God’s Word whether in ministry, broadcasting, or any endeavor. The Chapel was well attended by seminary students and the public. At the end of the gathering, Dr. Roberts presented the Botts with leather bound Charles Haddon Spurgeon devotionals.

Dr. Dick Bott makes a point during Chapel. He emphasized the importance of integrity and service in every area of life and what that meant to him as a broadcaster of Christian radio. He shared the history of how Bott Radio Network came to be and how the Network started in 1962 in Independence, Missouri, with KCCV, then on 1510 AM, now on 760 AM.
