October 2009 / Bott Radio Network Oklahoma Welcomes Pastors to the 12th Annual Clergy Appreciation Luncheon, October 20th
On October 20th, Bott Radio Network Oklahoma hosted the 12th annual Clergy Appreciation Luncheon at the Character Training Institute. About 200 pastors, church leaders and their families enjoyed fellowship and delicious food.
Bott Radio Network understands how hard pastors work, and what their families sacrifice. This was our opportunity to say, “Thank You.” Pastor Bruce Proctor opened the luncheon in prayer. Stephan Moore of Shiloh Summer Camp then shared a personal testimony, which encouraged all to make Jesus the most important and only thing in our lives.
A video was played as a tribute to Radio Pastors that have passed on called, “We Remember.”
During the luncheon, Kevin Clarkston of First Baptist Moore received the Pastor of the Year Award. Pastor Wilburn Brunner was presented with the Good Shepherd Award and Bob Snyder was recognized with the Good Samaritan Award. Each was presented with a plaque and gift package to Branson, Missouri, for a weekend getaway.
The Botts honored Station Manager, Paul Sublett, for his 25 years of service to Bott Radio Network. The luncheon was then turned over to Carl Miller of Salem broadcasting. Carl is the announcer for John MacArthur’s “Grace to You” program, heard across Bott Radio Network. Carl was joined on the stage by BRN Founder and President, Mr. Dick Bott, and his son, Executive Vice President, Rich Bott. Carl interviewed Mr. Bott about his career in broadcasting and the early days of BRN. Local ministries then honored Mr. Bott with several plaques. During the presentation a video was played for the Botts with many of our ministries thanking the Botts for all they have done over the years.
Mike Jestes of Oklahoma Family Policy Council closed the luncheon in prayer.
