Rich Bott, President/CEO of Bott Radio Network, attended the Kansas City Tea Party at Community America Ballpark. He is surrounded by more than six thousand friendly, enthusiastic people who want smaller, more common sense, Constitutional government.

Peaceful Americans petitioning their government for redress of grievances- publicly!

Massive crowds turned out for the Tax Day Tea Party. It was a friendly, peaceful and respectful throng that used creativity with signs to express their opinions. Music, ministry and mainstream common sense were the order of the day as speaker after speaker encouraged the crowd to use their freedoms wisely, to participate in the political process and to be sure to vote in November.

Pastor Cecil Washington, Jr. and his wife Audrey prayed and sang as part of the proceedings. Pastor Washington is Senior Pastor of New Beginning Missionary Baptist Church in Topeka, Kansas.

Darla Jaye was the Master of Ceremonies for the event.

Chris Stigall stirred up the crowd by contrasting what the mainstream media portrayed Tea Party participants as being with the friendly, polite crowd he addressed at Community America Ballpark.

Thousands of veterans took to the field during a special tribute for all those who have served or are presently serving our great nation. A video montage of all wars and actions from WWI on was displayed on the big screen center field, detailing the number of those who served in each, as well as the number of casualties. As each veteran returned to their seats, they were shown on the big screen to chants of, "Thank you, thank you!"

Creativity was the order of the day as people thought up original ways to express their opinion. Here a man implores our nation to secure our borders by wearing a portion of fence on his back.

Angelo Mino, American citizen, spoke of his love of country and the foundation for freedom, the Holy Bible, while he spoke. Angelo was born in Ecuador, but as he says, "Made in America!"

Large letters and large statements were on display all across the crowd of more than six thousand.

Some used rhyme to get their point across with creative signs.

A crowded stage shows a crowded field. Candidates for Kansas' Third Congressional District took questions and spent almost an hour answering them. Moderating the session as the "Fair Tax Geezer," Dale Chaffee is shown in the center behind the podium. Keynote speaker for the evening was the Apostle Claver Kamau-Imani from Houston, Texas. He said it was not enough to hold rallies, people must become engaged and informed, and vote.
