May 2010 / Bott Radio Network supports the Lincoln, Nebraska Crisis Pregnancy Center 6th Annual Mother’s Day Life Walk, Saturday, May 8th

The Lincoln Crisis Pregnancy Center held their 6th Annual Mother’s Day Life Walk on Saturday, May 8th at Antelope Park in Lincoln, Nebraska. A dedicated group of Life supporters participated in the annual 2-mile walk to raise support for the Lincoln Crisis Pregnancy Center.



Al Riskowski, Executive Director of Nebraska Family Council, was a guest speaker at the Lincoln Crisis Pregnancy Center Annual Mother’s Day Life Walk. His remarks were in part to update walkers on the recent passing of LB1103, the Nebraska legislative bill (Pain Capable Child Protection Act) which provides a general prohibition on abortions before the gestational age of 20 weeks, based on research showing that the baby can feel pain at and after 20 weeks. Al Riskowski hosts the Nebraska Family Council Report daily on BRN Nebraska outlets.

Lincoln Crisis Pregnancy Center, www.lincolncrisispregnancycenter.org, averages 451 client contacts a month, offering services such as pregnancy tests and information on pregnancy options as well as maternity and baby clothes for new mothers. They provide ultra-sound tests, prenatal and infant care education as well as post-abortive counseling and support. Every conversation at the center is meant to point clients to Christ.

Nebraska Senator Tony Fulton (29th District) and candidate for Nebraska State Treasurer, speaking at the Lincoln Crisis Pregnancy Center Annual Mother’s Day Life Walk. As State Senator, Fulton introduced and helped pass pro life legislation in 2009 with LB675, a legislative bill providing for additional voluntary and informed consents from a woman prior to an abortion and also supported LB1103, the Pain Capable Child Protection Act, which recently passed in the Nebraska Unicameral (April, 2010).
