May 2010 / Bott Radio Network participates in National Day of Prayer events in Missouri Capitol, Thursday, May 6th

Bott Radio Network Area Manager for Mid-Missouri, Sue Stoltz, attended the Annual National Day of Prayer Missouri Capitol event in the rotunda where more than 200 people met. The theme this year is “Prayer-for such a time as this” and the scripture is from Nahum 1:7 “The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust in Him.” Madge Atkinson, the National Day of Prayer State Coordinator, welcomed everyone and read the 2010 Missouri Proclamation signed by Governor Jay Nixon for the National Day of Prayer. Sue Stoltz, who in addition to being the Bott Radio Network Area Manager, is also the Midwest National Area Leader for National Day of Prayer, read the Official Prayer for NDP 2010 by Franklin Graham, 2010 Honorary Chairman, and she also said the closing prayer. Pastor Art Menard, Pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene in Mexico, Missouri, prayed for the state legislators who were present, including the two Budget Chairmen for 2010, Senator Rob Mayer and Representative Allen Icet. Senator Mayer and Rep. Icet shared their testimony on how God answered the prayers of the Missouri citizens and thanked them for praying the 40 days during their session. Prayers were said by various pastors and prayer leaders from around the state for the 7 Powers of Influence: Church, Government, Business, Family, Education, Media and Healthcare.
