May 2011 / Bott Radio Network is media sponsor of the SHEM home schooling Convention,Springfield Expo Center, May 5th-7th
Bott Radio Network Springfield was pleased to be the media sponsor for the Southwest Home Education Ministry (SHEM) annual Convention May 5th-7th, 2011.
Over 800 adults and their children attended the Convention to learn, be encouraged and challenged concerning the home schooling of their children. They attended seminars, enjoyed a graduation ceremony and a concert. Teen agers attended their own session where they were challenged to learn and defend the Christian worldview. Also, many vendors were there to offer curriculum and many other helpful items to educate children and teens.
BRN Springfield had a display there as well and many people stopped by to thank us for our programming and some even sang the BRN jingle to us! We wanted to thank the leadership of SHEM for the well organized event, even to the point of providing “pages” to give vendors a break or bring us water or coffee!
