BRN Manager for Mid-Missouri, Sue Stoltz traveled throughout Missouri attending several National Day of Prayer events, Thursday, May 5th. She was able to meet with many Christians uniting in prayer and was encouraged to see how many people are crying out to God to “Heal Our Land.” Sue attended the event in Rolla that she helped to start in 1989, the Rolla Mayor’s Prayer Breakfast. There were close to 300 people on the Missouri S&T campus at the Havener Center and the keynote speaker was historian and author, William Federer. Stoltz spoke a blessing and said a prayer for Mayor William Jenks and his wife Jeanne.
Sue attended the Missouri Capitol event at noon on the south lawn where around 100 people met and heard keynote speaker William Federer.
The theme this year is “A Mighty Fortress is our God” and the scripture is from Psalm 91:2 “I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust.”
Madge Atkinson, the NDP state coordinator welcomed the people and read the 2011 Missouri Proclamation signed by Governor Jay Nixon for the National Day of Prayer.
