August 2011 / Bott Radio Network Provided LIve Coverage of "The Response" from Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas, Saturday, August 6th
Bott Radio Network broadcast live coverage of “The Response: A Call to Prayer for a Nation in Crisis “ on August 6th, 2011 from Reliant Stadium in Houston, Texas. Texas Governor Rick Perry invited everyone to Reliant Stadium for the event. Florida Governor Rick Scott sent a video message and Kansas Governor Sam Brownback attended as well. A crowd of 44,000 came from all over the country to join together for a time of prayer and fasting for the United States of America and its leaders. From noon to 5:00 p.m., BRN reported from "The Response", broadcasting live from Houston, with interviews and portions of the event. It was an exciting and hopeful day and Bott Radio Network was proud to share it with our listeners on the air, online and on smart phones.
Reliant Stadium, home of the NFL Texans, was the site of "The Response", an all day fast and prayer event for the nation.
Dr. James Dobson began the event with a stirring example of prayer from World War II.
