February 2012 / Bott Radio Network Springfield is a Media Sponsor of Taste of Adventure fundraiser for Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Ronald McDonald House, Saturday, February 25th
On Saturday, February 25th, 2012, Bott Radio Network Springfield helped to promote the 3rd annual Taste of Adventure fundraising event for Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Ronald McDonald House of Southwest Missouri. The event was held at Remington’s Event Center. This unique event featured: a concert by The Lonesome Hollow Bluegrass Band, a silent auction with many different types of items, including outdoor gear; appetizers prior to the meal that included: rabbit and pheasant sausage, alligator tail and elk bratwurst; the banquet that featured meals prepared by local restaurants such as buffalo sliders, wild boar bacon wrapped shrimp, stuffed sea scallops, elk tenderloin and braised lamb; local speakers who benefited from the services and outreach of both organizations; and a live auction that featured hunting and fishing trips, firearms, kayaks, furniture and upper end vacations. Over 500 people attended the event and most of them stopped by the BRN display. Many visitors thanked us for our programming. Approximately $60,000 was raised.
