Second dance performed by Culture House from “Underground.” “Underground” is about the Underground Railroad and points out that the real hero is God and that the struggle is between good and evil, not between black and white. In the piece performed, two women receive and tend to two “runaway slaves.”
Pastor Charles Briscoe accompanied by Pastor Roberto Moreno on the left, and Pastor Jimmie Dodd in the center, gave an opportunity for an offering to help care for pastors serving in the core of the inner city.
Bott Radio Network's Chief Financial Officer, Tom Holdeman, shares BRN materials at the beginning of the evening.
A CD or DVD copier has a master drive connected to slaves. Copies are made of the master that look and sound like the master but are not the master. Just so, God is looking for copies of the Master. We must piggy back on the authority of the Master.
Dr. Evans used several analogies in his message. Some of the analogies were: A football game consists of three teams, two of which have different goals and are trying to move in opposite directions. The third team is made of officials who are not there to be popular. That third team (Christians) is to see to it that the game is played in accordance with the Official Rule Book (the Bible) as provided them by the Football Commissioner (God). But we live in a divided world because God’s third team has allowed the other two teams to divide the third team.
We need to be visible, verbal followers of Christ. As Matthew 28 says, we must go, baptize and teach. GO – that means don’t stay. BAPTIZE – that refers to completely immersing cloth in dye to achieve the desired color. And His desired color for all of us is red – blood red. Galatians 2:20 has no room for racial prejudice. TEACH – to observe what I have commanded. We need information with practice. Like Superman (who was not from this planet) Jesus came to do what no man could do. And he wants “Supersaints” – radical Christians.

In Matthew 28, there is an account of a meeting. All were worshipping that Sunday but some had questions, some doubted. But Jesus said: all authority is given to me which means – I am your Boss now! I am the legitimate ruling Authority. Some have power without authority, like criminals, but Jesus has Power AND the Authority to use it, like the police. On the cross Jesus unloaded Satan’s gun. If that is so, if Satan has no ammunition, then why do we have all the chaos down on the playing field? It is because of the tension between sovereignty and free will.
At the end of the service an estimated 100 people came to the altar to commit their lives to Christ. Dr. Evans prayed with them. 14 Photos | View as slideshow > |
