June 2012 / Bott Radio Network Supports Nationwide Rally For Religious Freedom, Friday, June 8th
Bott Radio Network participated in the STAND UP FOR RELIGIOUS FREEDOM rally with many segments of the faith community in Lincoln, Nebraska, Friday, June 8th. In January, 2012, the U. S. Department of Health & Human Services (HHS) issued a mandate requiring all employer health plans to include free contraceptives, sterilizations and abortion inducing drugs, regardless of the organization’s beliefs or constitutional privileges. Christian and Catholic schools, hospitals, social service agencies, along with Christian organizations – including businesses owned by people of faith – are all affected by the mandate. The HHS mandate forces businesses and institutions to choose between providing abortive services in their health coverage and closing their doors.
Hundreds gathered in front of the Federal Building in Lincoln, Nebraska, on Friday, June 8th to rally for religious freedom against federal HHS mandates that force employers to pay for abortive services.
