Ongoing Events8-week Series for Christian Stepfamilies Based on the book, The Smart Stepfamily by Ron Deal, the series will address issues that are unique to stepfamilies. Married or engaged couples with children from other relationships are invited to attend. The course is free, and each couple will need a copy of the book. Volunteer Round-up Siouxland Habitat for Humanity is looking for volunteers in many areas. If you have a desire to minister in Christ’s name in a tangible way, please consider becoming a part of this organization. Although building homes is an important aspect, there are many other ways people can serve, from raising funds, to working in the restore, to mentoring a family. Habitat for Humanity partners with qualifying families who need affordable and adequate housing. 22nd of the Month Pro-life Prayer Service Join like-minded people as they gather to pray for the end of legalized abortion. In the event of inclement weather, the prayer service will be held indoors. DivorceCare DivorceCare is a special help seminar and support group for persons experiencing divorce and separation, is beginning at Morningside Lutheran Church. Nationally recognized experts will speak via DVD on topics like, “Facing my Anger,” “Facing my Loneliness,” and “Forgiveness.” For information call the church at 712-276-2511. Mom’s Night Out Mom’s Night Out is a monthly meeting of the FOCUS support group for home educating moms in the Siouxland area. All women who are currently home schooling and those who are considering it are invited. Nursing infants are welcome; please make other arrangements for older children.
