Children are finding Christ at school. . .open your heart to them by having a Good News Club. Clubs meet once a week for 1 ½ hours. Club teachers present an exciting Bible lesson using colorful materials from CEF. This action-packed club time includes songs, scripture memory, a missionary story, and review games or other activities focused on the lesson’s theme--aimed at reaching both the unsaved and saved children. Training is January 21st at First Baptist of Harrisonville, 504 W. Wall, and February 11th at First Baptist of Shawnee, 11400 Johnson Drive. Time for both days is 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., with registration beginning at 8:30. Lunch provided. Cost is $6. Registration deadlines are January 19th and February 9th.

Jabez Retreat Center
Chillicothe, Missouri

The newly finished Jabez Retreat Center is now available for the purpose of pastor retreats, group meetings and retreats for all Christian denominations. It is large enough to sleep 40-50, but designed as well that a pastor alone or with a spouse might get away for a time of rest and reflection. It is nestled in the hill country of Missouri just west of Chillicothe. Travel time is 1.5 hours from downtown Kansas City, Missouri. There are two large meeting rooms, a large kitchen to prepare meals, and 50 acres with a lake waiting to be developed. Jabez Retreat Center is a non-profit organization.
