Grief Support Annual Balloon Release

The Annual Memorial Balloon Release is open to all who wish to send off a balloon in memory of a loved one. We will meet in the Family Life Center of the church to insert poems or messages in helium balloons and release them as a group. We are holding this release on the third Tuesday, which is a change in meeting date. Anyone dealing with issues of grief and loss is welcome to release a balloon and to remain for the support group meeting afterward. If you have questions, call 816-217-3596 or 816-517-9343.

More folks are finding it harder to put food on their tables. At Fleming Baptist Church they believe those circumstances create an open door for ministry allowing them to serve our Lord and community through becoming an agency for Harvesters Food Service. Fleming Baptist Church will begin distributing free food to those in need for the following towns: Orrick, Camden, Fleming, Henrietta, and Richmond, MO.  Harvester’s guidelines require that you have proof of residence. Food will be distributed twice per month on the first and third Wednesdays. From 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. every first Wednesday, then again on the third Wednesday of each month, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. There is a cost for the church to purchase the food for distribution. Any food or financial donation will be greatly appreciated. Any donations go specifically for providing free food to those in need.
