St. Charles Convention Center
1 Convention Center Plaza
St. Charles, Missouri
7:30 a.m. – 9:00 am.
Tuesday, September 9th

As a boy in a hospital bed, John could not have foreseen his many accomplishments. Nor would he have imagined his experience, wisdom and expertise as an international speaker. Yet his experiences are what fueled the incredible compassion and authenticity that are evident in every presentation he now gives. Local to St. Louis, John serves a Chaplin at a children’s hospital, is an ambassador for Big Brothers, Big Sisters, and has spoken in over 850 groups 46 states and nine countries.

At nine years old John was burned, on 100% of his body and given less than one percent chance of surviving the first night. He endured months in the hospital, years in therapy, dozens of surgeries, and lost all of his fingers to amputation. His professional focus as an international speaker, began with the writing and release of his parents’ poignant book, Overwhelming Odds. New Hope Pantry and Outreach
3317 North Highway 94
St. Charles, Missouri

New Hope Pantry and Outreach in St. Charles, Missouri is seeking assistance in building up their supplies and finances to give to local individuals in need. Multiple responding outreaches in the St. Louis area have depleted their ’stock’ several times over this last year with the past natural disasters, large local business (Ford) leaving the city and the ongoing local needs that occur. Individuals that have been affected greatly have been the elderly and families seeing difficulties for the first time.

Food items, dry goods, mac & cheese, dry pasta, canned goods of all sorts including meats and fish are needed. Personal hygiene products for both adults and children are needed, as are baby foods and necessities. The New Hope Pantry and Outreach tries to assist with medications and utility bills. Call Kathy Vollmer at 636-947-0755 to learn more.
